QC Receiving Inspector Vancouver Day Shift

Department: Quality
Location: Vancouver, WA

Vigor is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Receiving Inspector at our Vancouver location on day shift. A successful candidate shall be experienced with all aspects of material receipt and dimensional inspection processes, all in compliance to a quality assurance program. 

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Strong Knowledge/Background in Receiving Inspection process
  • Experience with performing dimensional inspection with calibrated Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • Ability to work independently to established procedures and still function in a “team” environment
  • Very detail oriented
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret Fabrication/Detailed Drawings
  • Experience using computer software programs

Candidates with the following abilities/certifications are preferred:

  • Current American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • Experience conducting and witnessing welding procedure qualification and welder qualifications.
  • Past experience as American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II in the following disciplines:
    • Ultrasonic Testing /Shear wave
    • Magnetic Particle Testing / Yoke method
    • Dye Penetrant Testing
    • Radiographic Testing
    • Radiographic film interpretation

Physical Demands:

  • Physical demands of position will require the ability to maneuver in a shop or yard assembly environment. Extensive walking and standing, climbing on ladders, scaffolding, couching, twisting, and stooping are often encountered. Must be able to assist with the manipulation of tooling and equipment.
  • The work environment can be physically demanding as well as in the proximity of moving equipment and cranes. Constant awareness of peripheral activity is necessary, with a mindfulness of not only personal safety, but the safety of people in the vicinity, and product and shop equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
