Ability to perform component installations of common mechanical systems on aluminum commercial vessels.

Essential functions:
Reviews all required blueprints, drawings and work orders in order to install, and make operational, desired product, part or system.
Inventories and organizes all parts and tools prior to starting job or assigned task efficiently and safely.
Reviews boat mechanical systems layout with lead or supervisor to perform component installations.
May assist with launch and/or sea trials, and shipping and delivery of completed boat.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Related Education:
Working knowledge of common mechanical processes and techniques as related to boat construction.
Related trade school or military training a plus.

Related Experience:
Installation of mechanical systems: Such as hydraulic, engine exhaust, engine cooling, mechanical and hydraulic steering, marine sanitation, fire/bilge, installed fire extinguishing, HVAC, engine room ventilation/air intake, fresh water.

Component installations: Such as propulsion engines and shafting, water jets and drivelines, generators, marine sanitation devices, engine controls, HVAC, interior seating, bolt-in windows and doors, window wipers, mooring gear, labels and graphics, emergency equipment, fendering.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to bend and maneuver in tight places, climb up and down ladders/ramps on a daily basis
Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
